Jeffrey Aviles is on a mission to help people overcome their fears. He is living proof of what happens when you fight your fears. As a child, Jeffrey had a horrible stutter that would paralyze him with fear whenever he would be picked on to speak in front of the class. One day, he gave up being afraid and decided to fight. This fighter’s spirit became the primary source of confidence for Jeffrey as he then began to look forward to speaking in front of groups of people. This provided him with the confidence to attend graduate school, something he never before fathomed he could do. It also led him to become a licensed clinical social worker, which provided him with the opportunity to help others overcome their fears. While in group therapy, he soon discovered his passion for helping others change their lives for the better through speeches. It really has become an ironic journey, as he now feels alive when he speaks in front of others. He has spoken at various clubs and organizations, and his knowledge, personality and energy always seemed to carry him forward.
